A "Read Access Violation in task GREPLAY" error might occur when using PROC GREPLAY in batch. The problem typically occurs when using PROC GREPLAY with ODS printer destinations to produce PDF, PS, and PCL output. For example, the error might occur when using PROC GREPLAY with the ODS PDF statement to produce PDF output. The error occurs when the ODS Listing destination is open.

To circumvent the problem, close the Listing destination by adding the following statement to the beginning of your SAS code:

ods listing close;

To reopen the Listing destination, add the following statement to the end of your SAS code:

ods listing;
